Shortcut to Uncover Parts Shortages

Off the Shelf has always had the Check parts stock feature to show a list of any missing parts that need to be ordered to make a product (internally, that’s the foundation of automatic PO generation). But… that took three mouse clicks and keying in a quantity. Ugh, who has the time?

Most often you’re checking parts stock for the quantity you need to build, right? So we made a little shortcut. Now you can just click on the red badge on a Product page and Off the Shelf will prefill the quantity for a stock check. We eliminated 1 mouse click, and all the typing! That’s not ironic excitement — any time saved is a win for frequent operations.

Click the green badge for a shortcut to building & serialize

While we were elbow deep in the code, shaving seconds off of features, we spied another spot for some efficiency. Rather than select the Build and serialize command from the Chevron Menu, you can now click the green buildable badge as a shortcut. It prefills with the quantity currently buildable, but you can edit as you please.

Small features, but surprisingly significant improvements to the quality of life when your moving fast on the production floor.
